rTMS: The Future of Treatment-Resistant Depression
Dr. Manas Team14 May 2026
Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is changing the way clinicians address depression that does not respond to medication.
Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is a non-invasive, FDA-approved therapy that uses focused magnetic pulses to stimulate specific regions of the brain. It is especially effective for patients who have not responded adequately to two or more antidepressants.
At Manas, our neuromodulation suite is equipped with the latest figure-of-eight coil technology. A typical course runs for 4 to 6 weeks with sessions of about 30 minutes.
Research shows remission rates of 30-50% in treatment-resistant cases — a number that continues to improve as protocols are refined.
